Why Blues boss Alex McLeish could be set for a change of Hart over his No.1
Birmingham boss Alex McLeish faces a significant dilemma ahead of their trip to Liverpool on Monday in the Premier League.
Brum chief McLeish must decide whether to keep Maik Taylor in goal or recall on-loan Manchester City star Joe Hart.
England prospect Hart, 22, was ineligible to face his parent club, City, in Sunday's televised game.
And in his absence, Northern Ireland international Taylor, 38, performed admirably in the 0-0 draw on his first top-flight appearance of the campaign.
Now after witnessing a string of blunders from the error-prone Hart, most Brum fans want to see the dependable Taylor retain his place.
I was at Birmingham's training ground this week when McLeish held a Q&A with some young fans from Birmingham Children's Hospital.
And one lively youngster named George asked McLeish this very question about the keeper's jersey.
McLeish's response gave little away, as you would expect.
But I believe Taylor, who starred for Birmingham last season in the Championship, deserves to stay No.1.
And if I was a betting man, like most Premier League footballers, that is what I would put my money on.
