Does it matter how many Brit bosses there are in the Premier League?
Not long ago, there was a perceived crisis in football because there was a lack of good British managers.
Now if you look at the Premier League table, there is a very different outlook.
Sir Alex Ferguson, Chris Hughton, Harry Redknapp, Steve Bruce, Owen Coyle, Roy Hodgson, David Moyes, Sam Allardyce, Ian Holloway, Mark Hughes, Tony Pulis, Alex McLeish and Mick McCarthy.
Of the 20 Premier League clubs, 13 are managed by British managers and seven of those are English.
That's a healthy state of affairs in my view. Far healthier than the ratio of English and foreign players in the Premier League.
Mind you, that's irrelevant in my view. The only person concerned about that should be the England manager and he's Italian.
Which brings me back to my conclusion. Only English players are allowed to play for England. But there's no such rule for international managers so pick the best man for the job and not worry about where he's from.
