Fabio Capello will wait until the last minute before deciding his England World Cup 23
Everyone is playing the game of choosing the 23 players England will take to the World Cup. But I reckon Fabio Capello will not really join in until right at the end of a long, hard Premier League season.
Most people could name 15 or 16 certs now leaving six or seven places up for grabs. But so much can still happen between now and next May with so much football still to be played at home and abroad.
There will be players ruled out by injury while others, like perhaps Owen Hargreaves or even Michael Owen, will push for inclusion with a burst of form in the second half of the season.
It is not just about the 23 form players. It is about the 23 fit and available players. There is still a long way to go, and Capello knows that better than anyone.
