Kenny Dalglish is Liverpool's best ever player - but Steven Gerrard is running him close

Kenny Dalglish for me is probably the best player Liverpool have ever had.
He was the sort of football genius that only comes along once in a lifetime.
To say that Steven Gerrard is running him very, very close is the biggest compliment I can pay him and for me, he's up there with Kenny.
Gerrard is as good a midfielder as I've ever seen - and I played with Graeme Souness.
He clocks up his 500th game this weekend and out of all those games, he has been head and shoulders Liverpool's most outstanding player in most of them.
It's a fantastic achievement for him and everything about him is top class.
