Mark Hughes's biggest job will be keeping Man City egos in check

Mark Hughes has 10 days left of the transfer window so there’s plenty of time to spend £100m and sign three big names.

Sadly with big names, come big egos. That’s why I think Hughes’s biggest job at Manchester City this season will be to keep the egos in check.

Last season, Elano was perhaps a bad influence on Robinho. Robinho was a bad influence on himself away from home. They have signed Emmanuel Adebayor, Carlos Tevez and the rest.

There are big characters and big names and while City can push Arsenal for fourth place I don’t think they’ll make it.

You have to have a settled, happy dressing room as well as talent to be successful and it remains to be seen whether City have that. If they do, then just watch them go.
