Why Derby will be Savaged by Crawley.. and why Becks is right for Spurs

The FA Cup third round is one of my favourite weekends of the season.

I fancy Crawley to pull off an upset against fellow MirrorFootball columnist Robbie Savage's Derby on Monday night.

And that brings back memories of my FA Cup third-round debut when I was at Preston and we lost at Scarborough.

Twice we were ahead, we lost 3-2 and by the end it was like skating on ice.

I played on the left side of midfield!

My best memory was winning the all Merseyside FA Cup Final.

The FA Cup can still throw up some glory and my only sadness is that it has fallen down the list of priorities for clubs, but this weekend should continue to offer some magic.

David Beckham will a great signing for Tottenham.

Superb to have on the training ground, a brilliant supersub to bring on and he delivers from set-pieces.

He will be a great influence and, for me, it’s a no-brainer for manager Harry Redknapp.
