The Republic of Ireland face a huge test over the course of the next two games.
Ultimately, Ireland may need just two points to clinch second place - and then comes an even bigger battle to qualify in the play-offs.
Suddenly, with some big nations involved and facing the play-offs, FIFA decide to seed the play-offs. And they reckon English football is corrupt! Incredible. It’s a fix against countries like Ireland.
Ireland need a point against a team, Italy, who were educated in playing for a draw as they also need a point. That’s what Italy do and I also fancy Ireland to get what they need.
