Why Arsenal should let Emmanuel Adebayor leave
Published 00:00 23/05/09 By By Mark Lawrenson
I'd definitely let Emmanuel Adebayor leave Arsenal this summer.
He has already made noises about being unsettled - similar to ones he was making last year.
So if clubs follow up their interest then I would sell. I don't think he will improve and Arsene Wenger could do better with the money he would bring in. It would be a huge profit on the Togo striker. Yet another example of Wenger's acumen in the transfer market.
The phone-in brigade may think Arsene's time is up but they should remember it is hard to find a top, top boss like him.
And although it is four years since the Gunners won anything, Manchester United had a similar spell in the early 90s - and look where they are now.
