It's a bit rich for David Moores to complain about Hicks and Gillett when he sold them Liverpool's birthright

If David Moores did not exist, you’d have to make him up.
Moores is a walking cliché, whose self-pity defies rational analysis.
He sold more than his Liverpool shares to American carpetbaggers.
He sold the club’s birthright.
If he wants it back, he should start a fighting fund.
About £88million should do the trick.

It is not hard to dislike Michel Platini.
He has that Gallic habit of walking around as if there is sewage under his nose.
He was a great player in his day, and has retained his sense of self-importance.
But credit where it is due.
Platini’s financial fair play rule is a blueprint for sanity.
Close your ears to bleating from the Premier League.
There is nothing wrong in forcing clubs to live within their means.
