The wife saw a picture of Jordan’s husband Alex Reid wearing one of those breathe-right strips on his nose. Then she remembered that Robbie Fowler used to wear one too.

“If that was me,” she said, “I wouldn’t be so blatant about having had a nose job.”

It’s a good job she’s so fit...

Robbie Loves... The Spectator magazine.

Not my usual reading, but in their World Cup TV and radio review this week they’ve described me as “the best speaker since Cicero and twice as funny.”

I looked Cicero up on the internet and discovered he was one of Rome’s greatest philosophers and orators. Which is a relief, because I thought I must have missed a new star of Serie A.

Robbie hates... Swimming.

We’ll be back in the pool at Loughbourgh University next week as part of our pre-season work. Last year I nearly drowned in the deep end as we tried to push a brick along the bottom. So it if goes any worse this time round, I hope you’ve enjoyed the column.
