Robbie's story of the week: Why we'll never treat the Derby fans as Twits

I’ve never been on Twitter before – probably wise after what’s happened recently to other footballers using it – but I had a look after our game against QPR on Saturday night.
And I had to laugh when I saw one fan had written: “I’ve just seen what sounds like the nastiest goal in football history… Savage to Dickov!”
It was brilliant to set up Paul’s 100th league goal, though not so great to work out afterwards that scorer and creator had a combined age of 71!
And of course, I would have traded that strike and my own 20-yard free kick – a typical Savage effort… not! – for a win.
In the end, both goals were overshadowed by defeat – but I don’t want one other thing which happened on Saturday to be overlooked.
After the game, Nigel Clough invited the Derby fans who had trekked to Wales to see us get thumped 6-1 at Cardiff to have a pint with us in a Pride Park suite.
The gaffer, Stephen Bywater and I stayed chatting and signing autographs for 90 minutes. Just another sign of how much we think of our loyal fans.
