Champ of the Week: Paul Lambert
It sticks in my throat to praise someone from Norwich City but boss Paul Lambert has performed miracles at Carrow Road with successive promotions. Just goes to show what a disastrous mistake Marcus Evans made with the appointment of Roy Keane down the A140.
Chump of the Week: Jose Mourinho
Poorer (by 50,000 Euros) old Jose gets the award this week, not for his actions, but for his facial expressions during and after the semi-final ties against Barcelona. The Special One’s face launched a thousand quips and produced more sulks than Nicolas Anelka.
And finally...
Whoever replaces Edwin van der Sar will have to perform at some standard to match United’s Dutch master. Schalke’s Manuel Neuer would be my choice.
