Terry Butcher's Champ and Chump of the week

My Champ of the Week - Phil Jagielka
England needed a solid centre-half to gill the gap left by John Terry's injury and Jagielka did not disappoint with two strong and dependable performances. The Everton stopper oozes pride and passion way beyond other centre-backs and should be a fixture in Fabio Capello's team from now on.

My Chump of the Week - James McFadden
His horrendous display against Liechtenstein was the worst I have seen from him, and a Scotland player, in ages. To be so bad against a group of bakers and candlestick makers is appalling and embarrassing. To be substituted at the interval is even worse.

And finally...
Isn’t it amazing how many English managers are throwing their hats into the ring for Capello’s job in 2012?  Stuart Pearce would be my choice although I might fancy a real outsider: Ian Holloway. Imagine that!
