Milan to swoop for Chelsea striker in January

Didier Drogba is on Milan’s short-list for a new striker in the January transfer window.

The reigning Serie A champions need a new forward, with Antonio Cassano ruled out for the season after heart surgery.

And Milan want Drogba, who is out of contract at Chelsea at the end of the season, on an initial loan deal.

The Ivory Coast striker will play in the Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea in January. Catania’s Maxi Lopez and Marco Borriello of Roma are also on the Rossoneri hit-list.
