Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson insists striker Dimitar Berbatov is staying at Old Trafford.
The Bulgarian, who has fallen behind Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck and Javier Hernandez in the United pecking order, has been linked with his former club Bayer Leverkusen, Bayern Munich and PSG.
Ferguson confirmed Berbatov was given permission for a private trip to Germany last week, but denies it had anything to do with transfer talks.
“I read those stories and I don’t know where they come from,” Ferguson maintained.
Berbatov is out of contract in the summer but United have the right to trigger a clause in his contract in March to retain him.
