Arsenal target Gonzalez is determined to move in January

Arsenal target Lucho Gonzalez is determined to leave Marseille in January.

The Argentinian has been left on the bench by coach Didier Deschamps in recent weeks to prompt speculation of a move away.

Deschamps confirmed back in August that Arsenal had made an approach to loan Gonzalez but that the terms were unacceptable .

It is thought that the Gunners' interest in Gonzalez might since have cooled, but the player's agent Federico Simonian still expects his player to be sold.

"He wants to leave," Simonian was quoted as saying by L'Equipe.

"He wants to play in a championship that is better than Ligue 1."
