Olivier Giroud has vowed to ignore the transfer speculation surrounding him and fire Montpellier into the Champions League.
The prolific 25 year-old, who has bagged 18 goals in 27 league appearances this season, has been heavily lined with a move abroad in the summer.
Arsene Wenger is known to be a huge admirer and has reportedly instructed chief scout Gilles Grimandi to compile a dossier on the striker with a view to a potential transfer bid.
Giroud, however, is determined to focus on the job in hand. When asked about the Arsenal rumours by Ligue1.com, he replied:
"I can't let it trouble me.
"I want to carry on being good with Montpellier and keep producing what I've done since the start of the season, and take the club where it should be, into the Champions league or even higher."
Montpellier manager Rene Girard is hopeful he can convince his star man to stay at the club.
"He'll be the one to decide. He had said that if we played the Champions League, he would stay for an extra season," said Girard.
"But he has time. He has time to think."
