Bordeaux confirm they want Chamakh back

Bordeaux president Jean Louis Triaud has admitted he is trying to re-sign Marouane Chamakh – but says Arsenal are blanking his calls.
Moroccan misfit Chamakh, who has been struggling with a knee injury, is frustrated at a lack of first-team chances.
Bordeaux are keen to do a cut-price transfer or loan deal for the striker in January, while Spain's Sevilla are also interested.
However, Triaud said: “I’ve left four or five messages with him [Chamakh] in two months. Also tried [Arsenal manager Arsene] Wenger. No response.”
Arsenal may let £6million-rated Chamakh – who joined on a free from Bordeaux 18 months ago – leave in January if they can do their own deals in the window.
Borussia Dortmund’s attacking midfielder Mario Goetze is top of Wenger’s wish-list.
