Blackburn and Villa lead chase for Chievo defender - report

Blackburn and Aston Villa are fighting to sign Chievo defender Bostjan Cesar, according to reports in Italy.

The Slovenian defender has a reputation for tough tackling and has been capped by his country 54 times.

The 28-year-old, who made 20 appearances on loan for West Brom during the 2007-8 season, could cost between £1.5m and £2m to bring to England.
