Bristol City chase Palace striker on loan

Struggling Bristol City are asking Crystal Palace to let them have Sean Scannell on loan to help their survival fight.

Boss Derek McInnes has made the surprise approach for the Eagles star who is currently out of Dougie Freedman's side.

Scannell - also a cash target for ambitious Huddersfield - is still part of Palace's plans but McInnes is hoping they might send him to his club for first-team football.
