Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich will approve Gary Cahill’s £7million signing – when he can be reached at his holiday base.
Bolton and England defender Cahill is driving a hard bargain , and the financial side has to be run past the Blues chief.
Abramovich has been away on an expensive break, but he is likely to say ‘yes’ to the 26-year-old’s personal terms, which will see the England star pick up a deal until 2017, worth around £25m.
Bolton manager Owen Coyle will play Cahill at Goodison Park against Everton tonight if personal terms are still not agreed with Chelsea.
