Chinese confirm they want to sign Anelka

Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua have confirmed they want to sign Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka, but claim no deal has yet been done.
A spokesman for the Chinese Super League side said: "We have contacted his management team, but there is nothing more.
"It is difficult for us. We know he will be available on a free transfer at the end of the season, but there are a lot of teams interested - AC Milan, Russia, clubs in the Gulf.
"And if we want to sign him, it will cost a lot."
Reports in France this week claimed the 32-year-old, who is in the final season of his contract at Stamford Bridge, had been offered £9million a year to sign for Shenhua.
