Martin Jol admits Fulham may sell their top players this summer – but reckons he can find the transfer gems to replace them.
Moussa Dembele has attracted interest from Manchester United and could play against them tonight at Old Trafford. Clint Dempsey and Brede Hangeland have also been tracked by bigger clubs.
Jol made massive profits earlier in his career after coaching Michael Carrick and Dimitar Berbatov at Spurs before they moved to United.
“I am used to it because in Holland, for example, they do it all the time,” said Dutchman Jol.
“They sell one or two, and try and get even better by spending the money on younger players and developing again. That is what we are trying to do here.
“I can’t, of course, have 16 players all worth £20million, but I always try and create our own situation.
“There is a lot of interest in my players and that is why I must use my experience to find younger players.”
