Highly-rated Swiss midfielder Granit Xhaka is set to snub interest from Manchester United to move to the Bundesliga instead.
The 19 year-old has enjoyed a breakthrough season, impressing for FC Basel in Europe and earning six full caps for Switzerland.
Sir Alex Ferguson was thought to be tracking the youngster after experiencing his skill first-hand in the Champions League.
But Xhaka himself claims a move to Borussia Moenchengladbach is on the cards instead.
“For me, everything is regulated. Now it’s up to the clubs,” he told Basler Zeitung.
