Middlesbrough want to snap up Martin Cranie from struggling Coventry.

The former England Under-21 defender is available on a free this summer after resisting efforts to pen a new deal.

But Boro may have a battle on their hands as a clutch of Championship clubs are chasing the 25-year-old.
