Newcastle launch £1.5m raid for Forest star

Newcastle have made a £1.5million bid for Nottingham Forest midfielder Lewis McGugan.

McGugan, 22, has emerged as one of the most highly-rated youngsters in the Championship.

Newcastle boss Alan Pardew wants to offer him a dream move to the Premier League and is testing Forest's resolve with a firm offer.
