Demba Ba has admitted the chance to play for Paris Saint Germain is tempting but says he will not leave Newcastle in January.
The Senegalese striker is having an excellent season for the Magpies, prompting interest from a number of Premier League sides. The revelation there is a release clause in his contract has increased the speculation.
But Ba, who is currently away at the African Cup of Nations, has played down speculation of a January move.
The 26-year-old told RMC: "I have always supported PSG and it's a club that is enticing but it will be difficult to do that in January.
"My first goal is Senegal and getting a good result, then I want to continue playing good games for Newcastle.
"I'm in Newcastle, fans like me, and then the transfer market will be closed when I go back, so I'm not focused on it."
