QPR tell Taarabt: You can leave if you want

Neil Warnock has told Adel Taarabt to earn a move to another club if he is not happy with his wages at QPR.
The Hoops boss refused to reveal whether he will fine his former captain for leaving Craven Cottage at half-time during his team's 6-0 defeat. But Warnock insisted the offence was not as bad as Carlos Tevez's one-man strike - or even Armand Traore getting sent off against Aston Villa.
On international duty last week, Taarabt claimed he will leave Rangers during the January window for "financial reasons".
And while admitting the 22-year-old's talent justified special treatment at Loftus Road, Warnock will not stand in a way of a move.
"My message is the same to every player at the club - not just Adel," he said. "If a player wants to leave, he can leave. I have never had a problem with that.
"But all the talk about the offers we had, I never saw an allegedly massive offer from PSG. I know what they offered, and by the time we had paid Tottenham, we would have been left with peanuts.
"It is in his court, really. If he wants to get the move that he has allegedly talked about, the best way of doing that is playing well.
"I think he's got the ability to play anywhere. His ability's not in question.
"It's putting that into practise which is difficult. At the moment I don't think he's got enough experience to force his way into Barcelona's team or Real Madrid.
"But he's still developing and you just don't know what will happen."
Warnock immediately announced he would fine Traore after his red card last month.
But the manager claimed: "For me, that was a far greater problem than Adel.
"If it was anybody else other than Adel it would be straightforward. But because it's Adel, as a manager it's a unique situation for me.
"There'll never be another Adel and when he does leave, for whatever reason, there won't be another Adel. It's just how it is at the club and we are where we are because of Adel.
"Likewise we are going to have bad days because of Adel and we've just got to bite our tongue.
"Adel's Adel and we all accept what he is. That's the beauty of him. I think it would do if it was an ordinary Joe Bloggs.
"But we've been brought up with him. All the group accept what he is."
