Stoke boss Tony Pulis has entered the race to sign Manchester City outcast Craig Bellamy.
Pulis planned to take the 31-year-old Wales international on a season-long loan deal – but now he’s prepared to wait as City weigh up their options.
City manager Mancini is keen to offload Bellamy, whose £90,000- a-week wages are scaring off Premier League rivals.
The Potters believe City could grant the striker a free transfer eventually and are ready to pounce, ahead of Everton, Blackburn and Sunderland.
Pulis, who also wants Birmingham pair Scott Dann and Cameron Jerome, said: “I know there is a lot of expectation and people want to see new signings now – but we’ve had to wait before and we will wait again if necessary.”
