Tottenham have made a fresh bid to sign Internacional striker Leandro Damiao.
Spurs chief Harry Redknapp has had a long-standing interest in the 22-year-old Brazil marksman after snapping up his compatriot Sandro last season.
French club Paris St Germain are understood to have entered the chase for Damiao's services having been frustrated in moves for AC Milan striker Pato and Manchester City's Carlos Tevez.
But Damiao has confirmed Spurs are the only club to have come in for him.
He said: "I am not aware of anything for an offer from Paris SG. I have had no contact with PSG or [sporting director] Leonardo.
"For now, I think about my club and the Copa Libertadores. In July, if a proposal comes, it will be discussed. All that I know is that Tottenham have made an offer."
Internacional want around £15million for the frontman while Tottenham's offer is believed to have fallen short of that valuation.
Having seen the success enjoyed in English football by Sandro, Spurs have already snapped Sao Paolo defender Bruno Uvini on loan with a view to a permanent move.
