Wigan and Blackburn are considering January bids for Birmingham's former England prospect Curtis Davies.
Latics have been to see the mobile centre-back in action three times, while Rovers boss Steve Kean is a long-term admirer of the 26-year-old.
Davies only joined Blues in January, making a £3million move from arch-rivals Aston Villa.

The pair guided Newcastle to the Championship title before Calderwood left to boss Scottish side Hibernian, who sacked him earlier this month.
