Paris Saint-Germain record signing Javier Pastore has welcomed the French side’s bid to grab David Beckham.
The former England captain's contract with MLS side LA Galaxy expires next month and PSG are favourites to sign him after he ruled out a return to the Premier League .
“His experience is huge because he has won titles wherever he has been in his career,” said the Argentine, a £40million summer capture from Italy's Palermo.
“For us younger players, he could bring a lot. Talking to him would be a big help.
“Beckham has a presence that is very impressive. In our squad, no-one has an honours list like him or so much experience."
Pastore also hinted that Manchester United hero Beckham, who had been linked with Tottenham and QPR, is not the only big name on the horizon.
“Nowadays a lot of players want to come to Paris. The town is great and the club is big," he said.
“When I am with the Argentina national team, a lot of players tell me,‘It would be nice if you talked about me to [PSG director of football] Leonardo. Going to Paris would be exciting.’
“If major players come here in the near future, PSG will become a world-class side.”
