Charlton are the shock favourites to sign Rangers free agent Gregg Wylde - after tabling the best cash offer for the flying left winger.
Boss Chris Powell hopes to pull off a coup and bring Scotland under-21 cap Wylde, who has also spoken to three Premier League clubs, to his League One leaders.
Wylde has sorted out his release from crisis-hit Ibrox following Rangers' move into administration.
He hopes to make a decision in the next few days and would like to get permission from FIFA to make a move and play for his new club this season.
Aston Villa, Everton and Bolton are interested in Wylde, but Charlton’s major play may see them off.
