Revealed: Why Liverpool blocked Shelvey loan move

Liverpool refused to send Jonjo Shelvey back to Blackpool on loan because
they were angry about Ian Holloway talking up the move, he has claimed.
Shelvey scored six goals in 10 games for the Seasiders during his stint
with them back in October.
And Holloway was desperate to bring him back for the rest of the campaign
before the loan window shut last week.
But Kenny Dalglish baulked at the idea, having grown fed-up of hearing
Holloway discuss the midfielder.
Ollie confirmed: "The reason we haven't got him is because we were talking about him for months and he was somebody else's player."
