West Brom to resume chase for Birmingham's Ridgewell

West Brom remain in the hunt for Birmingham defender Liam Ridgewell.
Albion failed with a summer bid for the versatile 27-year-old, who also had a transfer request turned down at that time.
He now hopes to leave Blues - relegated from the Premier League at the end of last season - in the winter window.
Baggies boss Roy Hodgson this week asked owner Jeremy Peace for funds to land targets including Ridgewell and Sunderland's ex-Birmingham midfielder Craig Gardner.
Newcastle are also interested in the left-back - who can play in central defence, too.
