West Brom to offer ex-Man United star new start

Roy Hodgson is ready to offer Owen Hargreaves a shock chance to stay in the Premier League.

The West Brom boss wants to open talks with free agent Hargreaves over a pay-as-you-play deal at The Hawthorns.

The injury-hit midfielder, 30, posted clips of himself working out on YouTube last week in a bid to prove his fitness and attract new employers following his exit from Manchester United earlier this summer.

Albion flew out to California yesterday for their pre-season training camp and Hodgson could meet the former England international for talks in America.

Leicester boss Sven Goran Eriksson has already said he is considering whether to make an offer to Hargreaves.
